I never thought of myself as a strong person, an athlete, or a person with stamina, so my life changed when I started seeing BB three years ago. I came to her with the goal of “getting stronger.” I’m a cyclist, and I wanted quads of steel to climb hills. But I’ve gained so much more than muscle. My body has changed in tangible, noticeable ways — not just the amount of time I can hold a plank, or how many push-ups I can do (which was NONE when we first started!). Now, I understand my own physiology and musculature in a way I never have. She brings the exact right mix of thoughtfulness, empathy, and education to every session. Every routine is shaped for the specifics of my body, abilities, injury history, and goals. I feel cared for, challenged, encouraged. Plus, she’s just a delightful human to get to spend time with. BB has made me feel strong, both physically and mentally, and I’m grateful for her every time I surprise myself with what I’m capable of.

Before I met BB I was terrified of the gym, and I felt like getting in shape or learning to exercise was an impossible task. But through sessions with her, I slowly built up the ability to work out and the confidence to feel like I not only COULD become more physically fit but also that I knew what I was doing. That was a huge, huge help in getting me started with exercise. BB found the right balance between pushing me and being compassionate to my lack of experience and confidence with exercise

Before I began training weekly with BB, I had little physical strength — and little confidence to do much about it. However, BB, with her kind but tough disposition, showed me that even I could be a fitness ninja! With her customized workout plans, meticulously designed training sessions and unwavering belief in me, she proved to me that I was capable of a lot more than I was giving myself credit for. In addition to helping me navigate some food challenges and learn the art of feeding my body what it needs, when it needs it, BB taught me how to plank (for longer than my initial 15 seconds!), do full push ups and even complete some nifty Bulgarian split squats. Two years into our journey together, and I am pleased to say I am healthier, stronger and more confident in my ability to achieve even the most daunting fitness goals.

BB is extremely knowledgeable about personal training. She is very enthusiastic and patient, and she tailors her workouts to suit her clients’ needs and pace. She is invested not only in your performance in personal training, but also in your overall health and well-being, and provides advice to help you attain the best lifestyle possible for you. She is also very effective at preventing injuries (and working with people like myself with a prior fitness-related injury), so you can feel confident you are reaching new heights without hurting yourself.
